FIND - Hands to Hold and urban paper cuts

We are not always the first to write about spots in the city, that is not our mission, but to share them, as we like them is! SO if you have not found this lovely little gallery yet, don't fret, there is actually not much room in there any way! BUT a recent exhibition opening has compelled a post here! DO SEEK it out!
Kathy Fahey's Work ( from http://handheldgallery.blogspot.com/)

Its a tiny difficult to find gallery called "Hand Held" - Its upstairs in the Paramount Arcade
108 Bourke Street, Melbourne..    Look for Suite 18..

Jan 13 - Feb 5:     Melbourne artist Kathy Fahey presents her work :  'To Penang and Back'.
This is a collection of the artist books, sculptures of sorts in paper and drawings inspired by a month Kathy spent as artist-in-residence in Penang in 2010

We at Hidden Secrets Tours walk the streets daily, and Kathy's deft and beautiful small works are an inspiration for us to re- look at our own surrounds..

What will you take away from Hand Held Gallery Melbourne?.......

Finally the Ultimate opportunity we can share!

Fiona and the team at Hidden Secrets Tours after a month of secrecy are so pleased to be able to share that we were hand picked to share Melbourne with Oprah's Ultimate Viewers over two days in December 2010.             It was the Ultimate Viewers holiday after all, so we steered clear of the paparazzi, and gave them a true Melbourne City morning stroll. A good coffee, a little chocolate, and some shopping ideas in our wonderful Lanes and Arcades!
***The show goes to air on Wednesday here is Australia, so don't forget to Watch on ten.com.au this Wednesday 19th January - we were probably too discrete for their cameras, but it will be a must watch show! Who knows who you will see.  - There really is nothing like Australia!
